You’re not just passing through. You belong here.
Perfect Strangers is a vetted community of high-skilled immigrants — senior professionals, founders, and researchers — building their lives in the UK. We started in London. We're growing further.

It's a system for building real relationships.
"You're not a native — but you are a crucial part of this society. You deserve your place here."
Full integration is rarely complete. That's not a failure — it's the reality of moving countries. High-skilled people relocate, rebuild, and still deserve to feel grounded where they live. Perfect Strangers is where that foundation gets built.

Six ways to connect
Perfect Strangers isn't just another networking event where you meet someone and never hear from them again. And it's not LinkedIn, where everything gets lost in the noise. We're building a platform where staying connected is actually easy and valuable.
Curated Events
From intimate dinners to large evenings out, expert sessions on every aspect of immigrant life, deep networking, fun social events, mafia, and much more: our members suggest, and we organise.

Mentoring
Matched with professionals who've walked your path — career pivots, visas, settling in.

What's next
Three steps to get in
The most valuable thing in a community is trust — knowing that everyone around you is genuinely great. That's why we only let people in after a detailed application, and full access to all benefits unlocks only after you attend your first event.

Get verified
We review every application and prioritise senior professionals, founders, and researchers who will genuinely contribute to the community.

Why we built this.
We've all been there - new city, new country, and that weird feeling of being both excited and slightly lost.
And of course you end up in the easiest place first: your "own" people. Russians in London. Italians in Amsterdam. Brazilians in Berlin. It's warm, familiar, effortless. Same language, same references, same unspoken stuff.
But if you stay only there, you miss the whole point of moving countries in the first place.
Because the real magic of living abroad is the mix. The random, brilliant collisions. The moment you realise your dinner table includes someone from Portugal building in climate tech, a researcher from Korea, and a founder from Nigeria - and somehow the conversation is instantly better for it.
The problem is: outside of national bubbles, most communities are either super niche (one industry only), built only for founders, or just… not that great.
So we built what we wished existed.
Perfect Strangers is a vetted community for senior professionals, founders, and researchers who've moved to the UK and want real connections across cultures - not just polite small talk.
And yes, we know "diverse" doesn't automatically mean "trustworthy". Trust is everything. Without it, you're just collecting contacts.
That's why we vet everyone. Not to be exclusive for the sake of it - but so when you walk into your first event, you already know: the people here are worth your time.
That's Perfect Strangers.
Built by people who've been there.
We didn't build Perfect Strangers from the outside. We moved here, navigated the same bureaucracy, felt the same invisible distance from the city we now call home — and decided to do something about it.

Anastasia Izyumskaya
Based in London since 2021. I began my career in leading independent Russian media as a journalist and news host. Then I spent 10 years building an ed-tech business at the intersection of mental health and education, and trained as a business coach. In London, I've worked in a venture fund and now run operations at Global Talent Club. Married, with a 14-year-old son and a Bichon Frise - yoga has always been my anchor, and Brazilian forro is my joy.

Glafira Kotova
Marketer, moved to London in 2023. Global Talent Visa. Helping early-stage startups build GTM in the UK & US.

Pavel Lisovsky
I’m Pavel Lisovsky, a Paris-based founder. I’ve built and scaled multiple startups (with a couple of exits). I studied at MIPT and Stanford, and I’ve learned how important it is to find like-minded people when you move to a new place — and to build a meaningful circle, rather than wait for one to appear. Outside of work, I recharge through sport, good food, and travel.
We believe the most driven people on earth are often the ones who left home to find something more. They deserve more than getting by — they deserve belonging.
Perfect Strangers exists so that wherever you come from, you can feel like an essential part of where you are.
